Meet the Team

For the moment: I am the Team -

My Roof Life began just after the 2008 crash.  I was in Finance at that time all climate controlled desk work, fancy lunches, meetings and networking.  When the economy fell, I ventured into the world of manual labor, because there was nothing else available.  After three (3) years, in 2012, I was fortunate when the opportunity arose for a "Business Guy who Knows Roofing" to become a  Roofing Consultant.  I've been in Tennessee since 2021 adapting to the roofing styles here, getting to know the common practices (good & bad) of our labor force, learning and building relationships, and helping as many people as I could with my knowledge.

John's Bruce Roofing Days

A Younger John Simpson

Although I started my manual labor career at the age of 34 I was fit and willing.  I remember my first day and the taste of dirt. I enjoyed climbing, lifting and the puzzle pieces we were tasked with figuring out.  The blend of the physical with some valid problem solving was appealing to me.

ROOFING CONSULTANTS OF TENNESSEE President & Sr. Roofing Consultant

John Simpson

For my first five (5) years in Tennessee I performed some consulting and then waited out a non-compete contract for Consulting I spent some time in Residential and Commercial Roofing Estimates.  I was able to help many people and was grieved by the lack of attention to detail, the false warranties, the tricky business of Roofing and the unsuspecting recipients of bad roofing.

BAD ROOFING MAKES ME SICK.

I founded RCofTN to devote my knowledge and talents to the wonderful people of Tennessee is to save y'all time, money and frustration.  Ensuring better roofing, higher quality and longevity for less.

John's National Roofing Consultants Era

Middle Aged John Simpson

I enjoyed proving myself at NRC to become one of the best Roofing Consultants in the Nation.  The economy was bad and I was to replace two (2) retiring Sr. Consultants.  Soon I found myself with all the knowledge of my mentors with 40 years + each in the industry.  I exhibited the unique ability to create and synthesize many products and systems in my head, to age any system and foresee problems before they presented.
