Service Description
The mice will play when the cat is away. There is no greater improvement to the quality of work and prevention towards cheating than a two (2) hour random visit to the roof. The Roofing Crew feels like an inspector may be present at any time. Installation is the one time you can see the elements of your roof being assembled. Verify the Material is it what you paid for? Is the installation being sequenced and spaced properly? Ugly or unusual details being ignored or rigged? 3rd Party random inspections help ensure: - Materials are not switched for lesser. - Safety protocols are being followed. - Proper or improper roofing habits. - Feel for the attitude of the crew. Unusual situations get a call of "Hey Inspector" instead of the crew rigging a detail they don't fully understand or know how to handle. Our inspectors refer to our Consultants as needed and in rare circumstances Manufacturer approval may be needed or Custom Detail Drawings by RCofTN at additional cost might be required. Instead of voiding your warranty get a good handle on what is going on with Live Inspections. We can't be everywhere at once but, we often find and correct multiples more than what it costs to have an inspector on site. The importance of Live Inspection can not be understated and should be required on all roofing.
Helpful Information:
This is a maximum of 2 hours on site part of which may be utilized in the review of the Specified Roofing System and Products. PLEASE PROVIDE: Relevant Documents if possible: System Specifications or Bid Contract for Warranty Compliance & Material Check. Our inspectors are equipped with PPE (Personal Protective Equipment): Hard Hats, Steel Toe Boots, High Visibility Vests, Gloves, Safety Glasses and Personal Fall Protection. Our inspector must have access to the roof or be able to access the roof with a standard 24' ladder. Typically roof access during reroofing is not an issue. We are not responsible for crew breaks, lunch times or other circumstances that may not allow for observation of roofing. Our inspector will photo document all relevant and observable material to ensure the products utilized are specified for your project as most warranties are void if you violate the manufacturer's requirements. Our inspector will verify means and methods, spacing, sequencing, pressure rollers, temperature settings etc. in conformance with roofing and manufacturer standards.
